About

We are a professional couple working in the video game industry who have found ourselves in the enviable position of both having earned a sabbatical from our employer. Instead of sitting by a pool sipping cocktails in the South Pacific, we decided to seize the opportunity and have a Grand Adventure. Something epic. Something unforgettable. Something we might not get the chance to do again. We decided to take the slow road to the end of the world. To ride a motorcycle from our home in California to the end of the American continent: the burning land, Tierra del Fuego.

Trevor: Born and raised in the Southwestern US, I have lived in Chicago, New York, London, and San Francisco. My enduring obsessions are computers, motorcycles and travel. I’ve been programming computers and riding motorcycles for 25 years and I’ve traveled through Europe, South East Asia, Central America, the Caribbean, Egypt and New Zealand. I currently own 5 motorcycles and have dreamed of extended overland touring on a bike for as long as I can remember. Nina blew into my life like a hurricane shortly after the millennium and I married her three years later. Fortunately she shares my passion for riding and more often than not, our vacations involve motorcycles. When she suggested we use our extended time off to ride to South America I was stunned. Of course I said yes; it was exactly what I had always wanted to do, I had just been too afraid to ask!

Nina: Born halfway between London and Cambridge, I graduated from Oxford University with a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature. In 1998, I joined Electronic Arts in the UK, transferring in 2000 to their San Francisco HQ. Now working in LA as a Producer and Director of License Relations, I continue to manage the business relations for many of EA’s top movie games. In recent years, I have focused on producing award-winning movies for EALA’s most popular cinematic franchises.

Well, that’s the boring stuff out of the way. Most importantly, I met Trevor whilst in SF on a consulting job in February of 2000. I never went home. I love to travel; I have backpacked around India, skied in Switzerland, outbacked in Australia, danced in Rio, trekked in Nepal, spelunked in New Zealand, sailed in Vietnam, zip-lined in Costa Rica, climbed temples in Egypt, and scuba-dived all over the world. Together, Trevor and I have motorcycled through California, Italy and Baja – but this will be our biggest adventure yet. I have 2 motorcycles of my own, but on this trip I will be a back seat rider.
